Image 3 Research and Design (Tap, Tap, Slide)
⚠️Gore Waning/ Sensitive Topics ⚠️

(Initial Research)
For my third image I have decided to base it on the myth of Tap, Tap, Slide which is not a well know British horror myth. The story goes a girl walking home one day after school and a neighbour greets her she stood and talked for a while before saying goodnight for the evening just before she goes to turn away her neighbour says “watch out for Tap, Tap, slide tonight” the girl laughs it off, she doesn’t believe that silly story anymore she wasn’t a kid. When she got home she greeted her dog feeding him before getting an early night. She climbs into bed, and falls asleep quite quickly exhausted after today’s lessons at school. Through he night she feels something licking her fingers, but she’s use to it, her dog has done that every-night since he started to get poorly. She wakes up the next day and doesn't hear the usual barking to be let out to pee, so she started calling on him checking the house before coming to a sudden stop at the back door, she found her dog but he was hung from the roof, not moving, on the floor where bloody tracks on the like someone had dragged across the floor.
There’s many stories out there with another name like ‘Click-Clack’ (Castle of Spirits, 2023) ‘Click, Clack, Slide’ (Cummings, 2025) but that was the version of the story I was told. This myth is not well known so there wasn’t many videos for me to watch but on the videos I watched to see other peoples version:

Since there isn’t much research that can be done for this myth I chose it because it was the story that scared me the most from my childhood. She is described as a old woman, covered in scares and blood was was paralysed in an accident no they say she’s still looking for the other driver, she here’s everything and when someone doesn’t believe in her they will be the next victim.
its a bit of a bizarre myth I know, but when I chose this topic I couldn’t not include this one in.
(Photo Research)
since there isn’t many interpretations in forms of pictures about this myth so I popped the ones together I thought resembles the sort of look I am going for they are in a MoodBoard down below:
Like the other 2 final images I am also going to create a list of what I want my 3rd final images to include. I want to create a head to toe look including a wig and a costume, I have a white stained dress I have in mind which I have used for a look before but I think would be perfect for this. For the wig I have one I want to use for this which I want to start after January. I think for prosthetics I want to use previous flat moulds I have made before, runs couple sets of each and possibly sculpt up a few more flat moulds. I am also thinking overly grown out nails too, I know there isn’t a lot to gon in terms of research for this image but i want to create something that would live up to the stories that scared me so much as a kid. Down below will be the list of things I would like this image to include:
- Matted dirty hair
- over grown nails
- white dirty downed dress
- prosthetics
- lots of dirt and blood
- video as final images
- dark, dingy and moody
now that i have thought of the basic things I want to be captured within this image I have gone and sketched up a face plan/ face chart and clothing design which can be seen down below:
