Collaboration and Communication:

Collaboration and networking with other people within the creative industry and professionals is a compulsory for the major project. Within the collaborations communication and effective teamwork is critical for them to run smoothly and succeed. As the major project is a solo project I will be the lead designer and makeup artist but will be completely open to feedback and criticism on how to benefit and push my designs the best they can be. 

Communication is important when working with other people for collaborations as it helps deter from misunderstandings (Human Focus, 2024) which will ensure everybody is on board with the correct information and mean that deadlines will be met with the greatest outcome possible for all parties involved. 

The one collaboration which I have already confirmed is with a videography student. For one or two of my final images I want them to be sort videos along side them. Though I will be taking any photographs myself as there is a photography module where we are learning to use a camera and take our own photographs along side the major project, I am not clued up on how to use the camera for video footage. The videography student will be using these videos for certain parts of their portfolio and apart of their collaboration for their equivalent of a major project, which is ideal as there is also a deadline for them to get these videos done by also and ensures that the collaboration will go ahead as well as being completed before the deadline. We are yet to finalise dates just yet but are looking to get a video for image 3 and image 4. 

For my second collaboration is yet to be confirmed but I am looking into a local artist to draw up a few sketches for image 4 and possibly for each of the other 3 images if they have time and are willing to do it. I thought of this as I think it would be a cool detail to display along side my designs, plus get another persons perspective of each myth also which I can use within my research findings, with credit going to the artist themselves. 

I am also looking into some fashion collaborations, though since I am not fully certain on design plans just yet. Once my design plans are all drawn up I will look into this collaboration a bit further.
